Security Management Group International (SMGI) Names New President Concord, California, June 15, 2009 - Security Management Group International (SMGI), one of the nation’s most responsive providers of security risk management services, announced today that Richard R. Ches has been appointed as the company’s new President. Ches succeeds Mitchell Brooks, who has left the firm to pursue other interests. The shift in leadership coincides with a new organizational strategy designed to solidify local operations in all markets, and to continue the company’s expansion to new geographic regions. SMGI also announced plans to enhance its industry-specific service offerings in the oil and gas, civil engineering, retail, financial, and critical infrastructure market sectors. “Ricco” Ches, an executive with SMGI since 2004, was promoted from his previous position as Executive Vice President, and has over 18 years experience in corporate security management and strategic development.
